Whenever you have a lot of tasks to complete, it's important to keep yourself organized and store all these tasks in a notebook or on a piece of paper, so that you can clearly know which tasks are complete and which are still pending. The problem is that it's really difficult to manage and organize a large number of tasks just by using a notebook or a piece of paper. In this situation, it would be much better if you used a specialized application for organizing tasks. Programs like Todomoo are a real help in this case.

This Windows program allows you to easily organize all your daily, weekly and monthly tasks, so that you can clearly know which of them have been completed and which are due until a specific date. After the program has been installed, the first step into adding tasks is to create a new category. You can create an unlimited number of categories and you can organize each task in a specific one, for making it easier to find. After the desired categories have been created, the next step is to create the actual tasks. For this, you will need to enter a name, a description, a category and a priority level. Priorities have different colors, for making it easy to view tasks which are urgent. Having all these settings configured, the next step is to add a due date and, optionally, configure a timer, to see how much time it takes to complete that specific task.

At this point, you can add the task to the program's interface. In case you have completed it, you can mark the task as complete from the top graphical toolbar. You can also configure Todomoo to automatically hide completed tasks, so you can only focus on uncompleted ones. You can export the list of tasks to a CSV file, which can then be loaded into compatible programs, like Microsoft Excel. You can also back up the program database to a file, so in case it gets corrupted, you can recover it from the backup.

Pros

It allows you to organize tasks in several categories and also add priority levels to each of them. Besides that, you can mark any task as completed with a single click. Furthermore, you can back up the program's database to a file and also export the list of tasks to a CSV file.

Cons

There is no option for protecting the list of tasks with a password. Using Todomoo you can organize yourself and your daily tasks better, by adding any task into the same interface.
